Victorian Red Card Training
(formerly known as Green and White Card or Construction Induction Certificate)
 
This ticket allows entry onto construction sites in VIC, NSW & QLD.
Recent legislative changes (Nov 07) now requires that all new applicants for this general OHS induction card
must have the card from the state in which they live. (Example: if you live in VIC and work in NSW or VIC then you
need a VIC Red Card, if you live in NSW but work in VIC then you need a NSW card.)

  • J.S.A's and safe work method statements


This one card is evidence of meeting the requirements for general health and safety induction training for
construction work in VIC, NSW & QLD.


Benefits:

  • Accredited Trainer and approved H.I.A course
  • OHS manual included in course cost
  • Interim Notice issued on the day (after successul completion of the course)
  • Credit card sized ticket is issued within 2-3 weeks of completion by the Housing Industry Association (
    HIA), a member of foundations for safety
  • This Red Card will enable you to work in NSW and QLD construction sites as well as VIC
  • Helps contractors and subcontractors by providing proof that a worker has the necessart safety knowledge
    and awareness to work on contruction sites
  • Helps to reduce injury rates by teaching about hazards and minimizing risk

Conditions of enrolment:

  • Payment and enrolment from is required 7 days prior to commencement, by mail if using cheque or money
    order
  • Payment is required for your place to be confirmed
  • Cash payments can be made on the day if arranged prior with the course trainer
  • Refunds are not given for non-attendance unless the Trainer, at their discretion believes there is a
    reasonable cause
  • All participant information collected on behalf of the NSW Workcover Authority is kept in accordance with
    current privacy legislation
  • ECEC reserves the right to cancel and/or defer a training course if enrolment is considered insufficient, or
    due to extenuating circumstances

To confirm identify applicants must provide:
One POI document and One Primary POI document from the Proof of Identity list below OR one full POI document
and 2 secondary POI documents from the Proof of Identity list below

Full POI Documents:

  • RTA issued NSW drivers licence current or expired up to 2 years with card number (or VIC)
  • NSW photo ID current or expired up to 2 years

Primary POI Documents:

  • Certificate of aboriginality
  • A current photo birth card issued by the NSW Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages
  • An Australian full birth certificate showing parental details
  • An overseas birth certificate showing parental details, provided passport or an offical Australian travel document is also shown
  • Australian citizenship document issued by DIMIA
  • A current consular photo identity card issued by the Departoment of Foreign Affairs and Trade
  • A current photo identity card for NSW police force officer or Australian Defence Force, excluding civilian staff or family
  • A current RTA issued NSW photo firearms licence or one that expired within the last 2 years
  • A current DOI issued by the Australian Passport Office
  • Australian immigration papers issued by the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs
  • A current driver's photo license from another Australian State or Territory or one that expired within the last 2 years
  • An Australian naturalization certificate issued by the DIMIA
  • A current Australian passport or one that expired within the last 2 years
  • A current overseas passport
  • A current RTA issued NSW security industry licence or one that expired within the last 2 years

Secondary POI Documents:

  • Passbook account statement up to one year old
  • Current credit account card
  • Current Australian Government Medicare Card
  • Electoral Card or evidence of electoral environment up to 2 years old
  • Australian defence discharge papers up to 2 years old
  • Education certificate of enrolment up to 2 years old

The POI requirements must be met in order for you to enter the classroom.
You must be aged at least 14 yeasrs and 9 months on the date of the training.
